About doudouX
Our Story
doudouX began in Texas with a problem no existing product solved well: a family caregiver needed to lift a patient alone, get them into a car, and drive to a medical appointment. The hydraulic lifts on the market required assembly, two-person operation, and offered no car transfer capability. The commercial transport services charged $100-300 per trip.
The founding team, a group of women with direct caregiving experience, designed an electric patient lift that combined floor pickup, bed-to-chair transfer, and car transfer into a single device. They shipped it pre-assembled because they understood that a caregiver with a 300-pound patient on the floor does not have time for a toolbox and an instruction manual.
Every doudouX product reflects this founding principle: if one person cannot set it up and operate it without help, the design goes back to the drawing board. The team tests each lift with real caregivers before production. The same women who designed the product answer your text messages, typically within the hour.
The company operates in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) category, building portable Hoyer lift alternatives that serve as 3-in-1 devices. Twelve active products now cover electric lifts (350-450 lb capacity), six specialized sling types, a brushless foldable electric wheelchair, and replacement parts. Customers range from 91-year-old spouses caring for their partners to professional home health aides who need portable equipment for solo shifts.
Our Mission & Values
Three principles guide every product decision and customer interaction at doudouX.
Caregiver Safety First
Back injuries sideline the caregiver and leave the patient without support. Every lift eliminates manual lifting and reduces the physical toll of daily patient transfers.
Ready When You Need It
Pre-assembled equipment, same-day battery replacements, and text support answered within the hour. Caregiving does not wait for business hours or shipping schedules.
