Why doudouX
Built for Caregivers Who Do This Alone
Every doudouX product addresses the physical and emotional challenges of home caregiving.
Solo Caregiver Operation
One person operates the lift from start to finish. No second helper, no emergency calls, no waiting for someone to arrive before you can move your loved one.
2-Minute Setup
Lifts arrive pre-assembled. Attach the battery pack, and the unit lifts patients immediately. No tools, no complicated instructions, no physical assembly required.
Real-Time Text Support
Text the doudouX team and receive answers within minutes. Customers report Sunday-evening replies in under 20 minutes and same-day battery replacements.
350-450 lb Capacity
Electric actuators handle heavy lifting that would injure a caregiver. The wide-spread leg base fits under beds, recliners, and power wheelchairs of all sizes.
Car Transfer Capable
Specialized slings and a portable frame let you move patients from wheelchair to car seat without a commercial transport service charging $100-300 per trip.
Women-Owned, Texas-Based
A small Texas business founded by women who understand caregiving. Every customer conversation goes directly to the team that designed and tested these products.

About doudouX
A Texas Team That Builds What Caregivers Need
doudouX started as a women-owned business in Texas with a direct mission: make electric patient lifts that one person can set up, operate, and transport without help. The company belongs to the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) category, manufacturing portable Hoyer lift alternatives that combine floor pickup, bed-to-chair transfer, and car transfer into a single device.
Every lift ships pre-assembled. Every customer text gets answered within the hour. The team that designed these products is the same team that troubleshoots your setup questions on a Sunday evening.
Customer Stories
Caregivers Share Their Experience
Real reviews from verified customers who use doudouX lifts to care for family members at home.
I am 91 years old, taking care of my wife of 72 years who suffered a stroke and has difficulty walking and standing. The Doudou patient lift was a pleasant surprise. This equipment delivers what I hoped for and exceeds my expectations. No more tugging and pulling on my 88-year-old wife to get her in and out of her wheelchair. Putting her to bed is a breeze. I had one occasion to contact customer service and received a reply in less than an hour. The reply was easy to understand and solved the problem I was having.
Excellent performing, well-made product, sold by an exceptional supplier. Other than removing locking pin devices, very little setup was required. It comes with decent instructions and videos are available through the supplier. They answered my text message questions within minutes. Customer Service cannot be beat. My purchase was based on easy setup, very good height lift and wide leg spread to accommodate my power wheelchair. I love supporting a Texas-based, all-woman business.
Excellent hoyer for my 300 lb husband. He is 6ft 4 and the sling that comes with this is perfect for transfers. The hoyer base fits under most of our furniture and we have managed to make adjustments for some pieces. A carpenter friend created a base for his recliner. The customer support is excellent. They responded to my text messages within minutes and are very good at helping you work through any issues. I will order from them again and refer others.
This is the best product and the customer service is amazing. I had a problem with the charger. We texted them on a Sunday and they responded within 20 minutes. The next day they got me a new one and had the old one picked up. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs help getting someone out of bed and to a chair or couch. The rollers are very smooth and the device is strong and sturdy for daily transfers.
This lift was bought in May 2023. On August 2024, we needed a new battery urgently. We were amazed at the immediate response we received and how customer-focused doudouX was. They were willing to work with us to get the new batteries same day, as standard shipping would not have delivered them fast enough. We appreciate the assistance and willingness to accommodate. The lift is perfect and much better than the hydraulic ones we used before.
Easy to use for daily transfers. The remote control makes one-person operation straightforward. We use it for bed-to-wheelchair transfers every morning and evening. The battery lasts through multiple transfers before needing a recharge. Setup was fast since the lift arrived pre-assembled. The sling size worked well for our family member, and the wide base fits under our hospital-style bed frame without issues.
The Reality of Home Caregiving
Problems That Get Worse Without the Right Equipment
Caregiver Back Injuries
Eight out of ten family caregivers report back pain from manually lifting patients. A single bad lift can mean surgery, months of recovery, and no one available to care for your loved one.
Per-Trip Transport Cost
Commercial patient transport services charge $100-300 per trip for medical appointments. Two appointments a week adds up to $800-2,400 monthly, money most families cannot sustain.
Fallen Patients at 3 AM
A patient falls out of bed at night. You cannot lift them alone. Your options: call 911 (15-45 minute wait, potential hospital admission) or leave them on the floor until morning help arrives.

Expert Recommendation
Occupational Therapist's Perspective
"I recommend electric patient lifts to every family I work with where one caregiver handles transfers alone. Manual lifting causes injuries that sideline the caregiver and leave the patient without support. The pre-assembled design removes the biggest barrier I see: families buy equipment they never finish setting up. If it works out of the box, they use it consistently."
